Why on Earth did I start building a game?
A little journey back to the past and why I started this blog
Starting this blog feels a bit weird, almost like writing into the void. It's like shouting into an empty room, not knowing if anyone will hear or respond. But perhaps, this is precisely why it feels therapeutic. Writing allows me to process my thoughts and emotions, giving them form and structure.
Hi there! I'm Michele, a UX Designer from the Netherlands with over 20 years of experience. Ever since I was young, I've been completely addicted to the internet and computers. This passion has shaped my life and career, fueling my curiosity and driving me to constantly learn and experiment.
One of the main reasons I started this blog is to create an archive of my journey, partly because my memory isn't what it used to be and partly because I have a tendency to dive into countless hobby projects. Seriously, I've started more projects than I can count, and let's be honest, I've finished fewer than I'd like to admit. From building a 3D environment using only CSS and JavaScript to creating a game, my passion for experimenting knows no bounds. Every project, finished or not, teaches me something new and pushes my skills further. This blog will serve as a chronicle of these adventures – the successes, the failures, and the many unfinished projects. It's a way to remember why I made certain decisions and to document the quirky path of my professional and personal growth.
I don't have grand expectations of this blog being read by many. It's more of a personal project – yet another one. But who knows? Maybe some of the insights, projects, or experiences I share will resonate with some of you. Perhaps it will even offer valuable information to fellow UX designers or front-end developers out there. I find joy in constantly trying new things, whether it's to boost my knowledge or simply because I see something cool that I want to recreate.
In conclusion, this blog is a personal journey into the unknown, a therapeutic outlet, and an archive of my professional and personal adventures. If you've stumbled upon this little corner of the internet and found something interesting or helpful, feel free to reach out to me. Let's see where this journey takes us.
P.S. On the left side of the screen on desktop devices, you'll see the letters "Ag". They don't have any particular meaning – I just thought they looked nice and added a touch of design flair.
